I spent two months in South America between late July and mid September 2008. We began in Venezuela, primarily for Angel Falls, flew over Colombia to Quito in Ecuador, bussed down towards Cusco for Machu Picchu, bussed over to La Paz for Bolivia´s jungle, pampas and salt flats as well as a notorious prison and some rioting in Santa Cruz and finally flew over to Rio de Janeiro for my flight home. This is a collection of the emails I sent home to friends.
